You stay in control. Deletion is available whether or not the account has a legacy store entitlement or subscription. We verify ownership before removing an account, but older billing status does not prevent immediate deletion.
Fastest: delete in Carefully
- Open Carefully and sign in.
- Tap your pet/avatar control.
- Open Settings, then find Privacy & support and choose Delete account.
- Reauthenticate and confirm permanent deletion.
This deletes the account, pet profiles, Care entries, Vet questions, synchronized weather snapshots, preferences, and active sessions associated with the account. It also covers any legacy walks or photos, Vet Visit audio, transcripts or summaries, imported medical-record files or extractions, and household-access records retained from an earlier release or test account. Limited information may remain when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or law. Encrypted backup copies age out within 14 days.
Request deletion without the app
Email us from the address connected to your Carefully account. We will send a verification step before deleting anything. Never include a password or one-time code in your request.
Store subscriptions are managed separately
Deleting your Carefully account does not automatically cancel Carefully+ billing managed by Apple or Google. You may delete immediately, but use Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions to stop future billing.
What happens next
After ownership is verified, we process the deletion within a reasonably quick period and confirm completion. If we need to retain limited information, we will explain what is retained and why. Deletion cannot be undone; independently saved copies outside Carefully’s control are not removed by deleting your account.
