These Terms are an agreement between you and Vakil Ventures LLC (“Carefully,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing Carefully, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Carefully was previously named PawCast; references to PawCast in an older app version, receipt, system identifier, or legacy URL refer to the same service and operator.
Safety comes first. PawScore, weather, pavement estimates, Outlook windows, alerts, and other guidance are informational estimates. They are not a guarantee of safety, a diagnosis, treatment, or veterinary advice. Conditions and dogs can change quickly. Observe your dog, inspect the environment, use your judgment, and contact a veterinarian when appropriate.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live if it is higher, and legally able to enter this agreement. Carefully is intended for adult pet parents. Provide accurate information, protect access to your email and devices, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
What the current Carefully release provides
Carefully supports dogs and cats with pet profiles and routine Care; local weather, PawScore and GPS or time-only walks for dogs; visit questions, consent-based recording and aftercare, reviewed medical records, source-grounded record conversations, household sharing, reminders, Carefully+, and account controls. Availability and accuracy vary by place, device, connectivity, permissions, profile completeness, data freshness, subscription state, runtime safety controls, and third-party service.
Weather and outdoor context
Location is optional. If you request current-location conditions, you authorize Carefully to use device location for that request. You may instead search for a city, and you can revoke location permission in device settings. Weather, air quality, pavement estimates, PawScore, and Outlook may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or wrong. Check the update time and compare Carefully with current official guidance and the conditions around you before making a decision.
Care, walks, visits, and health records
Care entries, tracked walks, visit materials, summaries, reminders, and extracted medical details help organize information; they do not verify a veterinary instruction, diagnosis, treatment, route safety, or outcome. Review generated or extracted information against the original source and keep important instructions in an appropriate primary record. Carefully does not practice veterinary medicine and is not an emergency service.
Recording consent and AI-assisted output
Record only when you have the legal right and every person whose consent is required knows and agrees. You are responsible for local recording law, the device, and stopping the recording when needed. Transcripts, summaries, extractions, and answers may be incomplete or wrong. Review them against the recording or source and with a veterinarian before relying on them.
Legacy data and store entitlements
Existing PawCast or Carefully accounts, pet records, identifiers, deep links, and supported entitlements continue with the service. These Terms and our Privacy Policy govern that retained data. A runtime safety control may pause a new operation without hiding supported owned history.
Carefully+ enables new AI visit summaries, medical-record import and extraction, and new record-grounded questions. Prices are localized by Apple or Google and shown before purchase; there is no free trial. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through the store. Cancellation, expiration, refund, revocation, or a safety switch stops applicable new paid operations but does not hide owned history.
- Manage existing Apple or Google billing through the store account used for the original purchase.
- Deleting Carefully or your Carefully account does not automatically cancel billing managed by Apple or Google.
- Refunds and billing disputes are governed by the store through which you purchased.
- Contact [email protected] if an older entitlement appears incorrect.
Your content and license
You retain ownership of pet-profile information, Care entries, walks, visit content, recordings, documents, questions, notes, and other material you provide. You grant Carefully a limited, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that material only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it. The same limited license applies to retained content created through an earlier release while it remains on the service.
Acceptable use
Do not use Carefully to violate law or another person’s rights; access another account without permission; upload malicious or unlawful content; interfere with the service; scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass protections except where law expressly permits; or use automated means that impose unreasonable load. We may limit or suspend access to protect users or the service.
Third-party services
Carefully relies on services such as weather and place providers, app stores, identity providers, email delivery, hosting, monitoring, and analytics. Their terms may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using Carefully and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security risk, unlawful conduct, or discontinuation of the service. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and dispute terms—continue after termination.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carefully is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, continuous availability, or accuracy. Vakil Ventures LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or harm resulting from reliance on recommendations. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.
Changes and applicable law
We may change Carefully or these Terms. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when appropriate. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply.
