These Terms are an agreement between you and Vakil Ventures LLC (“Carefully,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing Carefully, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Carefully was previously named PawCast; references to PawCast in an older app version, receipt, system identifier, or legacy URL refer to the same service and operator.
Safety comes first. Personalized scores, weather, pavement estimates, activity windows, alerts, Vet Visit summaries, and other guidance are informational estimates. They are not a guarantee of safety, a diagnosis, or veterinary advice. Conditions and pets can change quickly. Observe your pet, inspect the environment, use your judgment, and contact a veterinarian when appropriate.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18, or the age of legal majority where you live if it is higher, and legally able to enter this agreement. Carefully is intended for adult pet parents. Provide accurate information, protect access to your email and devices, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
What Carefully provides
Carefully brings pet care, activity and safety, health history, memories, and trusted viewers into one connected service. Its first complete experience is designed for dogs. Carefully may combine third-party weather with pet-profile inputs to produce activity guidance, provide Care and walk tracking, support limited read-only sharing, and turn a consented Vet Visit recording into a transcript and structured summary. Availability and accuracy can vary by place, device, connectivity, permissions, profile completeness, and third-party service.
Recordings and Vet Visit AI
You may record only when you have the legal right and all required consent to do so. Recording laws vary by location and circumstance; you are responsible for obtaining consent from every person whose consent is required. Do not record emergencies or rely on Carefully to preserve the only copy of important medical information.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Review summaries against your veterinarian’s instructions and contact the clinic about any uncertainty. Carefully does not practice veterinary medicine and is not an emergency service.
Sharing
Owners can invite a read-only viewer to a single dog. Owners are responsible for choosing recipients and revoking access when it is no longer appropriate. Do not share an invite token publicly. Carefully may expire or revoke invitations to protect accounts. Viewers do not receive precise coordinates, route geometry, raw Vet transcripts, owner account information, or billing information.
Carefully+ subscriptions
Carefully+ unlocks creation of new AI Vet Visit summaries. Prices are displayed in your local store before purchase; launch pricing is intended to be US $4.99 monthly or US $29.99 annually, with store-localized equivalents. There is no launch trial unless your store purchase screen expressly offers one.
- Payment is charged by Apple or Google when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your store account at least as required by that store before renewal.
- Deleting Carefully or your Carefully account does not automatically cancel store billing. You may delete immediately, but manage the subscription separately with Apple or Google.
- Refunds and billing disputes are governed by the store through which you purchased.
- Records created while subscribed remain readable after expiration.
Your content and license
You retain ownership of pet photos, notes, recordings, and other material you provide. You grant Carefully a limited, worldwide license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that material only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it.
Acceptable use
Do not use Carefully to violate law or another person’s rights; access another account without permission; upload malicious or unlawful content; interfere with the service; scrape, probe, reverse engineer, or bypass protections except where law expressly permits; or use automated means that impose unreasonable load. We may limit or suspend access to protect users or the service.
Third-party services
Carefully relies on services such as weather providers, app stores, identity providers, maps, email delivery, hosting, monitoring, analytics, and AI processors. Their terms may also apply. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using Carefully and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, security risk, unlawful conduct, or discontinuation of the service. Sections that by their nature should survive—including ownership, disclaimers, limits of liability, and dispute terms—continue after termination.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Carefully is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, continuous availability, or accuracy. Vakil Ventures LLC and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or harm resulting from reliance on recommendations. Nothing here excludes rights or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.
Changes and applicable law
We may change Carefully or these Terms. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes when appropriate. Applicable law and mandatory consumer protections where you live continue to apply.
